TODAY'S TIP

Category: Windows 9x

Closing a Hole in OE Identity Protection

The article "Password-Protect the Outlook Express In-Box" says
"When you log off in this way [using OE's Identities feature],
nobody can launch OE without supplying the password." But that's
not true if the person logs onto Microsoft Windows as a different
user or even as a guest, at least in Windows 98 and Me. The
Identity Password dialog in Microsoft Outlook Express will be skipped,
and you can see all in-boxes. Read our tip to find the fix.
