Oracle announces quarterly patching schedule

Once boasting that its software was "unbreakable" (no, I'm not 
ready to let that one go yet), Oracle is now getting a patching 
schedule in order. While Microsoft now has monthly software 
updates, Oracle will stick to a quarterly schedule.

ANTs database aims to speed up SQL transactions

ANTs Software this week released the latest version of its 
high-performance SQL database designed to offload key 
transaction loads from traditional databases such as Oracle or 
Sybase.

Study finds e-voting irregularities in Florida

Voting irregularities in three Florida counties that used 
electronic voting machines may have awarded as many as 260,000 
votes to President George Bush in this month's election, 
according to researchers at the University of California, 
Berkeley.
