Let's hope salvageable parts such as the iron chutes/control wheels are
preserved. In the same May issue of WW there is a letter from John Cooke
about Long Horse Bridge at Shardlow, where another, still useful,
concrete structure was demolished and the proposed replacement will not
meet navigational needs. John and the Horseboating Society are keen for
support in this case.
