Stolen Boat
PANIC OVER
It appears some "helpful" yobs untied the boat amd the prevailing
(and quite strong) westerly wind managed to carry it down the cut,
probably during the night, and around a curve so that the boat could
no longer be seen from Tesco. The bank is hard-edged and not too
silted along this pound so the wind was quite capable of moving quite
a surprising distance, particularly if it had all night to do so. A
walker, jogger, cyclist or perhaps a boater must have subsequently
seen it drifting and had tied it up rather insecurely across the
towpath to the adjacent hedge!
