] thoroughly enjoyed our sortee onto the Basy, the whole lock times thing us very tedious when you only have a finite time to achieve your journey. Looks as though I will have to take an extra day off to get to where I need to be.

We had a month on the Basingstoke the year before last and they couldn't have been more helpful. We had started our digging experience on this canal and we took part in a couple of digs whilst we were there.
