"Brinklow arches" are one of the lost wonders of the Oxford 
canal......

Actually not quite...
Apart from the none still used for a stream and public footpath 
(complete with ancient iron handrail!), the arches appear to have only 
been filled from the sides and I recently posted a picture on 
free.uk.binaries.canals showing myself peering into one of the huge 
voids still beneath the canal...
