The maximium length of message that can be posted to the group is pre-set at 1 Mb; this can not be altered. Digests are sent every 24 hours or after 25 messages (whichever is sooner). Unfortunately the size of the digest will be that of the messages contained in it. It does seem that there are individuals who repeatedly have problems in snipping, particularly of digests.
