The Southern Stratford was much improved last year from my previous
experience - I encountered no problems on 3'+ draft except for a low
pound in the Stratford town flight which was readily cured by running
water down. Previously there was many bars downstream of bridges and
silting at Preston Bagot, Bishopton and the aqueducts.
