Subject: [canals-list] Information wanted about a boat
Hello, everyone
I have been asked to find out the whereabouts of a boat which used to
belong to a friend. It is/was called 'Duke of Lancaster', was about 58'
long and was sold by my friend around 1984/85. I think it was built by
the Allens of Oldbury. Due to the tragic circumstances which led to the
sale, my friend did not then want to know what happened to the boat.
However, her mother thinks that with the passing of time, she may feel
differently and a family friend would be interested in buying the boat,
so I have said I will see if anyone has any information. There is one
'Duke of Lancaster' in Douglas Maas' book, Inland Waterways Boat
Listing, reg. no. 61652.
Can anyone provide more information?
Thanks

Sorry to reply to my own post, but this has appeared again without me
posting it again - weird or what? I am receiving emails out of
chronological order, other messages turning up again and again in random
order, replies before the original question - is it me, or is the
e-world going berserk? Can I go to bed now? (If you get this after 7.30
am the answer is NO).
