Braunston is a fairly busy area for dog-walkers and dogs do scare mink
away so benefit voles (never thought I would say anything in favour of
towpath dogs...).
Warwickshire Wildlife Trust reckon the long-term future of the otter in
the area is more secure than that of the vole, though 20 years ago the
vole was common and there were no otters.
