Please accept my deepest apologies to anyone if I'm teaching grandmotherly type people to suck eggs, but the BSS examination does not cover hull surveys. However, some people believe it is financially astute to engage marine surveyors who also happen to be authorised BSS examiners on the basis of doing hull/pre-puchase surveys and BSS examinations at the same time. I cannot comment on the accuracy of this view. So how to help DF? I can think of a couple of our chaps not far from Tring who happen to be surveyors, so you've not covered the field with that list. Have you already tried imarest.org.uk or iims.org.uk or rina.org.uk or scmss.?.uk or ydbsa.org.uk. Important to note that I make no claims for this list of surveyor professional body websites to be exhaustive and a marine surveyor does not have to be a member of any such orgnisation. You are also advised to check the adverts in the boating press and on the boating forums, yellow pages etc. - end of disclaimer Hope this helps [EMAIL PROTECTED] Office ------------------------ Yahoo!
