Day 3 - Monday 26th June 2006 We didn't get up until 10:30, and then we didn't get going until just after 11am. At Holme lock we just missed the lock, and had to wait for a trip boat to come down. We emptied the holding tank at the sani station just above Meadow Lane lock, but just as we started pumping out another boat came along wanting to use the water tap which we were also using. It took ages for the tank to fill, and the other boater just hung around the boat, rather than just giving up and going down to Holme like he said he might do!
We left at 14:25, and soon reached Sainsbury's. We didn't leave until 18:45 after doing a shop, looking around Homebase (now a long walk), and stopping off at Mackie D's! It had been raining while we were filling the trolley, but had nearly stopped by the time we left. We plodded on through the evening, and reached Sawley at 21:30. Mike Askin nb.
