What I didn't mention earlier was that I lived in Widnes for 25 years so I'm reasonably familiar with the area - indeed I can remember Runcorn locks when they were locks! Many is the time I've been over the transporter bridge! I'm afraid with father with us at 90 and with me waiting 15 years for a leg operation we won't be climbing Frodsham Hill but I have been up there a number of times. We might spend a night at the MSC junction though, I suspect the night scene there might be quite interesting. John Hi John,If you are on the weaver for a few days stop at Frodsham. A walk to the top of the hill is great & on the way down call at Cowards pie shop & butchers in main street. They make the best steak pies in England.
