My best prop experience was many years ago on the Tame Valley.
After the initial cursing when the engine stopped dead with a
mass of rope on the prop, I became more and more exited as we
kept hauling in yards and yards or 14mm polypropylene rope -
We ended up with 200 yards of the stuff on the back deck
(in *as new* condition). I never bought any rope for 20 years
afterwards!
