Certain phones (confirmed by Orange) did not work with orange PAYG GPRS as
of May this year. Orange recommended that you stick with Sony/Ericsson or
Nokia. I worked on a new Samsung phone for quite a while without success.
The negotiation of an address consistently failed with it. Orange said they
were working to fix the problem, but it is very possible that this situation
still exists.

If you try this and it does not work, move your registered sim to another
phone (nokia or Sony Ericsson) and try it there. When I did this with the
Samsung, the Sony worked perfectly while the Samsung continued to fail. It
was at this point I learned that there were issues at Orange.

And this is MOST IMPORTANT:

NEVER EVER CONNECT TO ORANGE PAYG DATA WITHOUT FIRST HAVING THE 1 QUID/24 HR
EXTRA APPLIED TO YOUR ACCOUNT. THE COST OF AD HOC DATA ON ORANGE PAYG IS
ASTONOMICAL.

Orange offers "free" trials of their payg data, but when these trials end,
you get no notice and there is no way to look up your usage to tell when the
free trial ends. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.
