Having got as far as Pewsey (8 July), cruising westwards, we have not experienced any pounds that were low or have caused any problems in cruising.
So far the places we have moored, with the exception of Pewsey, we have found good deep moorings. These have been: Above Tyle Mill Lock (there was a boat fitting out on the water point here) Below Monkey Marsh Lock - good mooring with wood planking and rings Victoria Park Newbury - good mooring with rings, had been warned can experience problems here, none experienced, but better quieter moorings above Newbury Lock. Kintbury above lock - good planked mooring with rings Hungerford above lock - good mooring with rings Great Bedwyn - Crofton - good planked moorings below lock 60 Wooton Rivers - good planked mooring below lock 51 Pewsey - poor shallow mooring (with rings) against the bank before Bridge 114.
