Hi Steve
I have also read your other reply on this thread so apologies if I
reply to
both at the same time.

I can remember years ago (1960/70's) there used to be a sign at
Trevor saying 2 mph and 2 ft max draft but AFAIAA there was
no other speed limit on the Llangollen (apart from the blanket
4 mph limit).
Hurleston locks (and Rump's lock on the T & M) were always
*pinch points* (Rump's Lock isn't these days).

Draft over the bottom cills at Hurleston can be a problem if the
intermediate pounds are a bit low. Beam might be more of a
problem, but if you can get through the 2nd lock up the flight
you will be OK all the way up to Trevor (and probably Llangollen).
The depth of the Llangollen is now better than many other
narrow canals, including most parts of the T & M.

However, every time I go up Hurleston locks I am always delayed
by boats in front who insist on keeping their fenders down -
despite local advice!!

Is Bream a Yarwood's boat with HA2?

Phil
