Last time we went to the Crown the beer was dreadful.
We used to use the Crown because the other two pubs
at one time didn't let dogs in, but in the last couple
of years I've managed to get our greyhound into both
of them.
Had this strange conversation in one pub, with the barmaid:
Me: Can I bring a dog in, please?
Her: We don't let dogs in but you can bring him in and sit
over there (pointing to an inconspicuous seat)
