Kingsbury Episcopi, now there's a place name! Home to one of the best Scrumpi
makers in the West Country. If anyone is exploring in the area I suggest a
trip to Burrow Hill, they also have one of the only licences in the country to
distill Calvados. Real Milk of Amnesia stuff!

along part of the "Parrett Trail".
We came across several navigation structures including two locks (near
Midelney and near Kingsbury Episcopi). One of which was was complete
with ground paddle gear etc.
Does anyone know the history of this navigation? e.g. When was it
abandoned ?
