But the point is that you shouldn't (according to convention). Sigs should be snipped and when most email programmes see the 'dash dash space' they strip it and everything after it from the reply. If somebody does not strip the 'dash dash space' and writes their reply after it (as did Phil did), many email readers will show that reply in a greyed-out fashion and then strip it from a further reply. I had to manually replace it into my replying email. Everybody doesn't subscribe to the same convention. Everybody doesn't use the same apllication to read and send email.
