I keep looking. I had a look at an Electrolux unit like Julian's at the Boat and Caravan show at Brum, but is quite big, and looks to much like a caravan bolt on unit - a bit out of place on a narrowboat. I saw one at Crick however - Dometic? maybe, they did fridges as well - that used a 240v compressor (but I guess there is no reason why a 12v one could not be used), and used water for the cooling - which would require more holes in the hull. Was very quiet though. I currently have a standard house type on which runs on 240 volts, and uses air for cooling, so quite noisy. It doesn't have a timer, so I have to turn it on manually. I think it will run on my inverter, but it's over 1kW so would need the engine running. Cheers, Mike --- Mike Askin nb. Kismet http://shoestring.zapto.org/ ------------------------ Yahoo!
