This may seem picky, but could I make a plea for new threads to be given
a new heading and not just alter the subject of an existing thread.

For those of us with software which works (using Turnpike here) to
thread emails so that all canals-list messages look just like a
conventional newsgroup, it is difficult to follow threads when messages
appear in the wrong thread. For example, Terry's recent thread which
started 'Arun Cruise '06 - Day 26' has been hijacked into a discussion
about continuous cruising, and not just on this list.

This also happens when people start a new thread about something which
has no relevance to an existing thread by using any old message and
editing the subject line . My software still threads the new message
using the original subject.

PS (in an attempt to get slightly canal orientated and muck up the
subject line!) for various reasons I am not be able to go boating at all
this year. I have looked at a couple of video active dvds (S&W and Lee &
Stort) to try and stave off the withdrawal symptoms, but has anyone any
recommendations for their favourite canal video please?

Thanks and happy boating.
