For starter I had a prawn cocktail -  standard stuff.  Wendy didn;t have a 
starter.

For main course we'd both wanted sirloin but they'd run out of that.  I had 
pork loin steaks, really tasty with an excellent "fruity mustard sauce". 
Wendy had a fillet steak in pepper sauce, which she also thoroughly enjoyed. 
Both main courses were served with sauteed new potatoes and steamed carrots. 
With a bottle of house red (an Aussie one which was quite pleasant), 
preceded by a pint of Bass (the only beer on hand-ump that evening) and a 
large G&T and followed by a coffe, the total bill was about £44.80 before we 
added a tip.

 The menu was a bit unimaginative but the food and service were first-rate.
