For starter I had a prawn cocktail - standard stuff. Wendy didn;t have a
starter.
For main course we'd both wanted sirloin but they'd run out of that. I had
pork loin steaks, really tasty with an excellent "fruity mustard sauce".
Wendy had a fillet steak in pepper sauce, which she also thoroughly enjoyed.
Both main courses were served with sauteed new potatoes and steamed carrots.
With a bottle of house red (an Aussie one which was quite pleasant),
preceded by a pint of Bass (the only beer on hand-ump that evening) and a
large G&T and followed by a coffe, the total bill was about £44.80 before we
added a tip.
The menu was a bit unimaginative but the food and service were first-rate.
