I was told that when someone consulted BW - as we do - they were given
the advice that the Tring summit has a water supply and weed problem.

This is on the waterscape website stoppage report:

The Aylesbury Arm (Lock 1 - Aylesbury Basin) will be closed between
6pm and 8am until further notice. These restrictions have been
introduced as part of efforts to conserve water following recent
problems with naturally occurring blue-green algae which is preventing
water being pumped from Marsworth, Tringford and Startops reservoirs.
(Enquiries: 01908 302500)

So maybe we should ask a BW spokesman to put a message on here and
uk.rec.waterways.
