I think there's too many variables to get a common answer that works for
all - Those would be...
A. Toilet design.
B. What liquid/solid product is used
C. Any flush additive
D. What you eat....! Too many curries????
E. Sex. (why not) All male crews will fill a loo slower (far less
paper...), and hence it has to be stored longer.

We have a standard large portapotti with electric flush (lazy we are), I've
tried
1. Potty Toddy Tablets - waste of money
2. Yeast - didn't do much for us
3. Aqua Kem Blue - OK, but the formaldehyde upsets my asthma really bad.
4. Aqua Kem Green - OK, not so good for very long hold, but if we are
travelling, then it's an empty at least every 2 days anyway.

So we now sticking to Aqua Kem Green in the pot and Aqua Kem Pink in the
flush water.
