The Oxford seems infested with these - last week we had one which 
stopped below a lock *after* going through it so the OAP crew could come 
back and photo the flowers at the lockside. Shades of 
Fotherington-Thomas 'Hello bee, hello flower'....

Yup - met one of these too - we had some sympathy but not much as grass 
would have grown faster. Banbury 'new' liftbridge is a H&S abortion, 
apparently put in at the insistence of the council, according to a BW 
lengthsman.
