Hi All,

Monday 21st August - Left early this morning and pumped out on the way.
Wendy is feeling a little better but still suffering from cold and cough.
The day is grey with that enjoying fine rain coming and going. The locks
were swift and well managed. Nothing to do except enjoy the view. Some
magnificent properties. Lovely chugg, Planes, taking off from Heathrow
thick and fast. Clearly the recent unpleasantness has now been sorted. We
are travelling with Nb Kew and a large (93 foot) Dutch barge. We get the
first views of the castle as we approach Windsor. All is well until we reach
Romney Lock in Windsor. There is a question whether the Dutch barge will go
under Landing Windsor Bridge. With a 13ft 2inch clearance and the river a
bit high, could be tricky. We are told to leave the lock first and get out
of the way. I am good at following instructions :-). We moor up on the
'Island' at 1.00pm ish. Very good moorings and secure. A 4 UKP fee is
payable. The afternoon is taken up with a visit to the castle, which is
excellent and provision shopping on the way back to LT. Near the mooring is
a huge big wheel, well, you have to, don't you. Magnificent views. Eating on
board tonight, reasonable TV picture. Two Corry's tonight. that Charley,
he's a boy and Jason's back and.............

Regards

Andrew & Wendy from The Cut - Windsor, River Thames.
