After a very peaceful night beside Farmoor reservoir we awoke to a bright sunny
morning. It started to drizzle as we set off and our entire Days travel was
intersperced with short light showers.
We passed through Pinkhill and Eynsham locks working them our selves but our
arrival at Kings lock was accompanied by a noticeable increase in down stream
traffic, obviously coming in from Dukes cut. The very efficient Sandford lock,
where we were put through four abreast, was followed by the bottleneck at
Abingdon where 2 boats at a time was normal.
Finally stopped in half a mooring, with our now tied to a tree, at the southern
end of the moorings below the bridge.
Albion is moored alongside for the night.
Did banking, posting and shopping in town during a very heavy rain storm.
