Hasn't the "Certificate of Limited Competence" been replaced by the Short
Range Certificate which includes DSC?
Must admit I have a DSC VHF, but only a COC. I have been told that contrary
to what is claimed in some quarters, it is possible to obtain an MMSI
without a SRS.
