But it does not excuse the fact that no one invited a meeting, a GIG or
anything but to shoot her down in flames.

Believe me I arrange mortgages and you wont believe how many people believe
that owning your own home is cheap compared to paying your parents rent.

Just how many of us are going to reveal our full status before we start to
talk to people! Do the continuous cruisers reveal their financing before
asking about moorings in one area so they can get to work. Do the Kubola
boiler people say they have enough money in the bank before indulging in
some banter about parts or upgrading.

Maybe this lady was going to risk all by selling up her home( and her kids
inheritance) no one took the time to ask. Do people live in the real world
on the cut ?

I posted a submission some months ago. It went along the lines of "One of
my clients has expressed an interest in living on the cut and in my
professional capacity asked about finance options. I posted a request for
any one to contact me with their experiences of finance and getting afloat
and offered the confidential approach. Closed club yes indeed! NO one
replied !

I have to say in the end my own research suggested that if you take the
Boating Option your going to be ripped off!. In the end it turned out that
TESCO Finance was the best option for this boater thankfully he is now
afloat and on the Chelmer and enjoying his life afloat immensely and I made
not a bean out of the transaction !

I am really not interested in living on the cut. To me its a leisure
resource and should belong to the nation. Its a cycle track, its a holiday
place, it has adventure, is has conservation, it has walking and hiking. But
above all it has boating and the more it can allow people to experience it
the better.
