Both the Nicholson Map and the Nicholson Guide seem to be available here:

Might be worth contacting before ordering though, to check on availability.

Not relevant to the present discussion  -  the book does not cover the Clyde 
from Bowling to Dumbarton, but does show is from Bowling into central 
Glasgow.
