Bringing a newly bought boat from Burton to the River Nene recently I
encountered a few minor snags with the inverter, the Alde boiler and
the pram cover. I am both grateful and impressed with the helpfulness
of people from two boatyards which I called at for advice who without
charge gave of their help; with the staff at Narrowcraft who tested the
inverter and charged my mobile phone; Clifton Cruisers who got the Alde
boiler going. Also with Karl of KC Covers who came out on a Saturday to
Hawkesbury to check the sagging pram cover top which still had a month
left of guarantee. Karl arranged to get a new stay and fit it at
Braunston on the following Monday afternoon. The cover was made good
and extra catches and elastic loops provided.
