Don't get me started on my thoughts about the psychdynamic symbolism of
men steering boats into locks (though come to think of it, there's a

On Sanity we do day and day about steering and locking, except at long
flights where we usually do five at a time each.

Don't think so - from what I've read in the Working Waterways series,
each pair had its own routine, with both men and women doing their
share.
