This is really horrible, if unsurprising news. Sympathy first to those
employees who will be losing their livelihoods involuntarily.
Then we must recognise the burden on the management team, in whatever
shape and state of morale we find it. We must remember that BW is our
friend (possibly our only one) and that despite the frequent criticisms
in the past, the future depends on what BW can achieve.
Of course this is part of BW's own protest and reaction to recent
events. Maybe there is a hefty element of politicking and overkill in
the announced actions but for sure it isn't going to be pretty out
there in the years ahead.
