SOW has no intention of being involved organising events that have
a single issue. Our purpose is to encourage events that are directed
at securing long term funding for BW/EA and, more specifically, getting
Govt to address the difficulties caused by the recent and future round
of cuts imposed/threatened by Defra.
We are, however, aware that some causes will want to piggy-back
on future SOW and anti-Defra cut events to promote their own
special interests. For those with such ambitions we modify our
slogan to 'Save Our Waterways first - negotiate special issues later'.

If anyone feels that these issues are not clearly stated on our website
