Hi All
We were caught up in the stoppage at Awbridge Lock on our way to the
Stourbridge Rally. The BW guys did a fantastic job in fitting new bottom
gates in three days (normally two weeks work apparently). They also worked
into the dark on Friday night to remove the scaffolding so that the lock was
open first thing on Saturday. And the lockie at Bratch opened up before the
usual 8.00 to let boats through. Just shows what the people on the bank can
do, and what we are in danger of losing with the DEFRA cuts.
