Bruce posted about scale in his macerator khazi.
During our second year of Jannock ownership we visited the Llangollen where the
macerator siezed solid when the limescale decided to not be firmly attached to
the gubbins. Therefore to answer your question about the best ways to reduce
limescale buildup, I would suggest frequent trips to Softwater areas.
