Did you look at http://www.hnboc.org.uk/boatgallery/fmc/waterlily.htm which explains the cut up bits? Ie this was one Josher. The full length Josher also called Kestrel (its former drop-in cabin is now used as a shed on the Soar) had its name changed from Ostrich for spurious reasons which are far too complicated for here (but were discussed at length in the HNBOC newsletter). Either way, The owners of Kestrel stern bit (with the pointy bow) and bow bit (ie Water Lily) now accept this story - even though Water Lily still carries the wording 'Formely Ostrich' in its cabin side - at least until the next repaint! Even the letter which gave rise to the original (1960s?) confusion about a name swap of the cut boat, was later contradicted in another letter by the same writer. So that's all sorted then :-) Chris D -- [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://www.Deuchars.co.uk Author & Publisher: "A Boaters Guide to BOATING" 4-50GBP Mixing old and new waterway techniques.
