With just a phone call, you can help The Waterways
Trust Scotland and the North Lanarkshire community
raise £50,000 to create a sensory garden, nature trail
and artform at the entrance to Auchinstarry Basin near
Croy. Scents and Sensitivities has been selected to
take part in ITV’s People’s Millions programme where
the public can vote for the project they want to
receive £50,000 of lottery money. The project faces
the public vote on Thursday 16 November at 6pm. Tune
in and vote!
The garden will be created using textured plants,
heavily scented flowers, a water feature and lots and
lots of colour, to help people with disabilities enjoy
the canal-side environment and Auchinstarry Basin .
The project will also include a nature trail using
interpretation and an environmental artform, giving
everyone in the community and visitors something to
enjoy.
Simply tune into STV (if you can!) at 6pm on Thursday 16 November
and pick up the phone and vote for Scents and
Sensitivities and help even more people benefit from
our waterways.
