Thanks for reply. Vodafone said it was them. I thought it was me. When I phoned 
Tuesday  voda said the problem was fixed their end and tried to fix my end. It 
didn't work, so girl went and confered, she came back to say the problem hadn't 
quite been fixed their end. They must have solved it as it began working after 
lunch and seems to have been ok since then.
