I've re-read my suggestion and it does clearly state 'UK friend/family
member', in fact what you have already done. Personally, I wouldn't call
that spamming, most of my friends and family are interested in each
others pet projects. I don't think I ever mentioned 'sending it to an
entire address book'.
However, it was only a suggestion.
