The protest cruise on the Tidal Thames past Parliament on the morning of Jan 16th could well fail, not because of conditions, NHS health workers march to parliament (almost def in the afternoon - we are NOT marching on parliament)....but ...because of US!!!! This cruise has now been widely publicised and if it does not go ahead DEFRA will be laughing up their sleeve.
There are only 21 boats booked on the cruise!...the organisers need at least 40 to make it worthwhile. All the logistics are now worked out, with free jolly in West India Docks for people joining from the London Boat Show! Please study the Waterscape stoppage list and see if there is anyway anymore boaters out there can possibly make this event....and please...anyone who has not got a narrowboat will be made extra welcome! :-) A word of warning...remember failed big campaigns in the past (Derwent and End-Of-Garden moorings)..they relied TOO heavily on political wrangling, with not enough campaigning on the ground.
