One of the funniest things I have ever seen around the canals is someone - who shall be nameless - trying to push a heavy boat out from the bank by leaning on the boat pole - it snapped and they went headlong into the cut, under the counter of the boat. Well it was funny - once he surfaced and was only shaken and not hurt - thank goodness the screw wasn't turning o0r it would have been tragic.
