The only time that Terry Pratchett's world & mine touched briefly was when I
saw a narrowboat named "Octarine." On asking the owners about the name, they
told me that this was Terry's name for the eighth colour of the rainbow!
I thought then that I probably wouldn't be getting his books out of the
library to read & have managed to keep to that.
It probably didn't help that the boaties in question were of
the tree-hugging, peruvian hat-wearing, gay whales against racism variety [to
quote Nick Ferrari] but I *do* know that millions enjoy his books, & vive la
difference!
