8' is suggested as the minimum chimney height (from the flame) for reliable draught - certainly in gusty weather the main boiler (11' from fire to top) doesn't blow back when the funnel is up, the donkey boiler (5') does. I don't know how well the various devices you can put on the top work. > > Steve Sean
