Humpy from Halifax's point is fair enough but I'd like to point out 
that Phil is nowhere near as an old fart-like as his post suggests.

I agree that we often slip into "You did what  . . .  we did that one 
year before we got out of bed on the first morning, and we blacked the 
bottom on the way, repaired two leaking lock gates and rebuilt the 
gearbox whilst waiting at Braunston bottom. Come to think of it we'd 
got no diesel and were running the Lister Air-cooled on Camp Coffee 
essence and mothballs."
