Indeed no. This was 21/04 to 01/05 2000.
My records show I was at Wormleighton, Br 186, Kidlington,
(Oxford for lunch), Pigeons, Little Bourton, Napton and
Braunston on the various nights. I left on Friday and arrived
back on Thursday lunchtime at Braunston.

I did the trip again with my wife between 12/04 and 18/04 2003.
We overnighted at essentially the same places as previously.
I don't remember queueing at all. Both these trips were at Easter,
of course. The southern Oxford is traditionally much busier than
this in the summer.

BTW we didn't do long days on these trips. We might get going
by 7:30 a.m., but we have a good hour for lunch and we're
generally looking to tie up at about 6 p.m. (or earlier,
if the only pub for miles causes us to do so!).
