>Any ideas of what might be wrong Sounds like a problem with the generator- have you checked the output voltage? As you say the amp. power light went out it would suggest problems in that area. You seem to have covered everything else by substituting speakers etc., anyway any problems with the output or input would make it sound horrible before it failed. The ghetto blaster may just be more tolerant of overvoltage. The repairer should be able to say what has failed, my bet would be the mains transformer. If it's the output stage there is something wrong with your speakers or associated wiring. -- Niall
