You'll have a heater/fire on board so you shouldn't be cold.

If you are starting at Barton Turns Marina I would head down to
Alrewas (turn right coming out of the marina go through two locks
(about 1 hours cruising) and moor up in the first place you find.
You can stay there and enjoy the 4 pubs and nice walks in the
countryside. Food in all of them plus a fish & chip and chinese
takeaway.

When you're bored with that head up to Fradley (5 locks, about
2 hours cruising) turn left onto the Coventry canal and moor up
just after the swing bridge and spend the evening enjoying the
Swan (known locally as the mucky duck)..food served.

You don't say how much time you have, but the next night you can
get to Hopwas (and two more pubs).

Now, if you don't like pubs, then I would recommend you get to
Fradley and go stright on until you get to Great Haywood and turn
left go one mile to Tixall Wide. Great place to moor up (and
plenty of pubs on the way).

Hope that helps.

Cheers

to Alrewas)
