Day 4 - Tuesday December 19th - Stone to Longport Wharf 11 miles 1 furlong, 14 locks, 5 hours 35 minutes Weather - Misty
Uneventful day's cruise. Left Stone at 9.40am, Stone top lock cleared at 10.30am, Meaford top at 11,25am. Reached Etruria Junction at 2.40pm, and stopped for water at, possibly, the slowest tap I have yet encountered, 50 yards onto the Caldon Canal. Used the time to empty the Thetford cassettes and dispose of some rubbish before abandoning the fill up after 45 minutes. Reversed back to the junction and made for Longport where we moored at 4.10pm. After eating onboard we ventured to the Pack Horse for a beer - not a mistake we shall be making again. :-) Early-ish start tomorrow, as we want to be through the tunnel as soon as we can.
